April 13, 2021 Press Release
“American taxpayer dollars should not go towards vaccine passports that violate our privacy, force us to disclose medical information, and unfairly regulate where we go and what we do. The rest of the country should follow Florida’s lead in outlawing this egregious violation of our liberty and allow citizens to make the decisions best suited for themselves and their families.”

“Often overlooked, veterans’ family members make a great sacrifice in service to our country. Unfortunately, without the necessary assistance, sometimes this sacrifice ends up in tragedy for family members, like Army Specialist Ashley M. Taylor, who took her own life after her husband, Army Private Bailey C. Taylor, committed suicide. We all need to come together to not only raise awareness for the mental health issues affecting our veterans and their families, but also to provide crucial resources to those in need so we can prevent another tragedy like this again.”

"Sergeant Mullins has dedicated his career to keeping our community safe through the Lake Placid Police Department and has gone the extra mile to ensure that children in our community are protected through his work as a Child Safety Instructor. From instructing local caregivers on how to transport children safely in vehicles to teaching kids how to ride a bike, our community is blessed to have such an outstanding individual, and I am honored to represent him."

"I am honored to recognize one of our district's most outstanding teachers today, Michele, for her leadership and commitment to educating the youth in our community. She has gone above and beyond her role as an educator through dedicating her time to the FFA program and getting our future generations involved in Florida’s thriving agriculture industry.”

“Our district is honored to be home to over 74,000 veterans, many of whom served in Vietnam. Unfortunately, these veterans did not receive the proper recognition they deserved when they arrived home from serving our country decades ago. Designating an official day of recognition for their service is a small step towards giving them the appreciation they deserve.”

“It is well documented that the Chinese Communist Party sees our higher education institutions as an opportunity for espionage and a place to spread their communist propaganda, even going beyond Confucius Institutes and reaching university professors. While Florida is taking promising steps to curb this national security threat, Congress and the Biden Administration need to take decisive action to send a message to China that their communist mission is not welcome or acceptable in our education system.”
March 22, 2021 Press Release
“Okeechobee County’s priorities like telehealth expansion, water quality issues, and public health have remained major focuses for our team, both before and during the COVID-19 pandemic. I was honored to update the Chamber this morning on what we are doing at the federal level to advance these priorities and protect our values.”
March 19, 2021 Press Release
“Not only does Iran-backed KSS pose a serious threat to peace and stability in the region, but they are also directly responsible for American service member deaths in Iraq. Their continued attacks on Americans and our strategic interests demands a strong and decisive response from the Biden Administration, but all we have seen from Biden’s top officials so far are dangerous concessions and radical appeasement.”
March 18, 2021 Press Release
“There is a crisis at our border and this dangerous legislation only serves to incentivize more illegal crossings by granting amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants. With Border Patrol encountering an average of 565 unaccompanied children a day, and some migrant facilities operating at over 729% capacity, we cannot afford misguided policies that fan the flames of the blazing disaster at the southern border.”
