Job Title: Constituent Services Representative
Office: Office of Congressman Greg Steube (FL-17)
Location: Sarasota, Florida
Reports To: District Director

Position Summary:

The Constituent Services Representative serves as a liaison between Congressman Greg Steube and constituents of Florida’s 17th Congressional District. Based in the Sarasota District Office, this role functions as a caseworker, assisting constituents with navigating federal agencies. This position manages a wide range of constituent concerns, identifies trends, and ensures timely, professional service in a high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent Congressman Steube to constituents and agencies in assigned issue areas and federal agencies
  • Explain federal vs. state jurisdiction and refer constituents accordingly
  • Draft and manage official correspondence using Intranet Quorum (IQ)
  • Maintain organized case files and prepare updates for the District Director, Chief of Staff, and Congressman
  • Identify case trends and potential issues for legislative action
  • Monitor news and district developments to anticipate constituent needs
  • Provide guidance to interns and support office operations
  • Attend district events as needed and maintain a professional, nonpartisan demeanor

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or minimum 2 years relevant experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local agencies
  • Casework or public service experience preferred; IQ experience a plus
  • Ability to manage sensitive information and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Flexible schedule, including availability for occasional nights and weekends
