Greg Steube Rips Pelosi on Afghanistan

As the United States ends the 20-year-long Afghanistan war on an ugly note, some Democrats such as Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) have stood by the President, claiming they still trust his judgment. This week, US Rep. Greg Steube (R-FL) fired back at Democrats who still stand with President Biden (D) and his judgement.

With pressure mounting to obey the Taliban’s August 31st deadline (today), Pelosi made headlines after claiming she still trusts Biden’s “judgement” after folding the American knee to the Taliban.

“The judgement about leaving is a judgement that the president made” said Pelosi “and he has ro balance the equities of what is the threat to our military and the people at the airport versus the advantage of staying.”

In a recent Tweet, Steube, a staunch critic of the Biden Administration and his foreign policy, blasted Pelosi for her comments, claiming that same “judgement” is responsible “for the deadliest day for U.S. service members in over a decade.”

Biden has done nothing but ran into trouble through the withdrawal of troops in Afghanistan. After witnessing his approval ratings hit a presidency low so far and even getting blasted for jokes about the debacle, there seems to be no winning on this issue for national Democrats.

Today, August 31, 2021, is the last day the Taliban has given for US individuals to evacuate, however, Republicans have criticized the mixed messaging coming from Washington, as Democrats have seemingly put trust in the Taliban to allow American citizens access to the Kabul airport.

Last week, US Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) called out Biden for flubbing the crisis once again, providing what he called a “user-friendly kill list” to the terrorist organization.
