Steube Announces 2020 Congressional Art Competition

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Today, Congressman Greg Steube (R-Fla.) announced the 2020 Congressional Art Competition. The Office of Congressman Greg Steube will be accepting applications now through Monday, March 30, 2020.

“I’m excited to once again host the Congressional Art Competition for the students of Florida’s 17th Congressional District,” said Congressman Steube. “Our district is fortunate to be home to many talented artists and I look forward to seeing all of the submissions this year.”

The Congressional Art Competition, also known as the Artistic Discovery Contest, is an annual, nation-wide high school arts competition sponsored by members of the U.S. House of Representatives. This is an opportunity to recognize and encourage the artistic talent throughout the nation.

The first-place winner will be given the opportunity to display their artwork at the United States Capitol in Washington for one year. The Office of Congressman Greg Steube will also be continuing its partnership with the Punta Gorda Airport. The airport will showcase the remaining art, where it will be viewed by over one million visitors throughout the year.
