Steube Announces U.S. Service Academy Nominees

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Representative Greg Steube (R-Fla.) today announced the following students’ nominations into the four United States Service Academies.

“These students all impressed me with their academics and character,” Steube said. “These are some of the best students to represent our district, and it is my honor to nominate them for their preferred military service academies. I wish them the best of luck as they move forward in the selection process.”

Highlands County

Ethan Perdew of Matthew Perry High School and the University of South Florida has been nominated to attend the United States Naval Academy.

Lee County

Suzette Brito of Lehigh Senior High School and the University of Tampa has been nominated to attend the United States Military Academy.

Okeechobee County

Jaydon Egger of Okeechobee High School has been nominated to attend the United States Airforce Academy.

Polk County

James Chamberland of Kathleen Senior High School and the Central Florida Aerospace Academy has been nominated to attend the United States Merchant Marine Academy and the United States Air Force Academy.

John Zito of Central Florida Aerospace Academy has been nominated to attend the United States Airforce Academy.

Sarasota County

Aiden Ericson of Venice High School has been nominated to attend the United States Military Academy.

Austin McEvoy of Riverview High School has been nominated to attend the United States Air Force Academy, the United States Naval Academy, and the United States Merchant Marine Academy.

Drew Stoneburner of Pine View School has been nominated to attend the United States Military Academy.

Jia Johnson of Pine View High School and Georgia Military College has been nominated to attend the United States Military Academy.

Wes Baca of Pine View School has been nominated to attend the United States Military Academy and the United States Naval Academy.
