SARASOTA, Fla. – U.S. Representative Greg Steube (R-Fla.) today released the following statement in honor of Veterans Day.
“I’d like to take a moment to thank all the men and women who raised their right hand and took an oath to defend our country. On Veterans Day each year, I think first and foremost of those I served alongside of in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, and those who made the ultimate sacrifice. It was an incredible honor and opportunity to serve our country as the U.S. worked to counter the threat of terrorism around the world.
Veterans are at the forefront of my work in Congress and I’ll never stop working on behalf of those who served our great nation. Please take a moment today to say thank you to all the veterans in your life. Our country is a beacon of freedom and liberty. We owe that to the men and women who voluntarily put their lives on hold for the betterment of our country.”
