Steube Attends Farmers to Families Food Box Program Event in Lakeland with Secretary Sonny Perdue
LAKELAND, FLA. – U.S. Representative Greg Steube (R-Fla.) today attended the opening of a Farmers to Families Food Box Program distribution center at One More Child in Lakeland with U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Secretary Sonny Perdue.
“Part of USDA’s larger response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Farmers to Families Food Box Program will help farmers move product while benefitting our local food banks, community and faith-based organizations, and other non-profits,” Steube said. “Florida is an important part of the nation’s food supply chain, and our jobs will quickly come back from this crisis thanks to Secretary Perdue and President Trump’s hard work.”
The Farmers to Families Food Box Program distribution center in Lakeland is at One More Child, a faith-based organization that provides safe, stable, Christian homes and services to children and families in need.
