Steube Names Venice ICU Nurse Nick Madonna as May FL-17 MVP

VENICE, FLA. – U.S. Representative Greg Steube (R-Fla.) today named Venice Regional ICU nurse, Nick Madonna, as the May FL-17 MVP.

“At only 24 years old, Nick has already made a lasting impact on our community and has gone above and beyond to serve his patients throughout the course of the COVID-19 pandemic,” Steube said. “I join the staff and the patients here at Venice Regional, his family and father Mark, and our entire community in extending our thanks to Nick – while this past year has been full of uncertainty, we are truly blessed to have medical providers like him.”

Nick Madonna is known throughout Venice for his outstanding compassion and top-notch patient care. He will graduate from State College of Florida this summer and then has aspirations of attending graduate school to become a nurse anesthetist or an advanced nurse practitioner.

Steube presented Nick Madonna with a certificate and flag flown over the U.S. Capitol in his honor.

Each month, Steube and his team recognize an MVP from the 17th Congressional District who has made outstanding and unique contributions in the community. The purpose of this award is to recognize the unsung heroes across the District as they display extraordinary dedication to make a difference. To thank them for their work, MVPs are presented with a flag flown over the U.S. Capitol and are publicly recognized in Steube’s weekly newsletter.

To submit deserving nominees, constituents are encouraged to visit Steube.House.Gov/FL17MVP.
