Even as we stand here surrounded by razor wire, National Guard, and an increased police presence to protect the politicians, my colleagues are willing to defund and disadvantage the law enforcement officers who keep the American people safe.”

“Democrats want to force the American people to pay for their campaigns with taxpayer dollars while telling states like Florida they have to end voter ID laws in violation of Article 1, section 4 of the US Constitution. Americans do not want their tax dollars going to fund political contributions and after the election integrity issues we faced in the presidential elections the last thing we should be doing is ending requirements for voter identification.”

“In reality, this misguided legislation promotes inequality and seriously harms the very citizens my colleagues claim to protect – women. By eliminating Title IX and forcing biological women to compete against biological men in sports, this legislation would take away opportunities for women on and off the field. Though blocked by the Democrats, my amendment would have prevented this discrimination, protected women, and promoted true equality.”

“Today, in a hearing entitled the Rise of Domestic Terrorism in America, all I heard from Democrats and their witnesses was white supremacy and far-right extremism, while completely ignoring the riots, destruction and violence of Antifa we have seen since last year. All forms of domestic terrorism are criminal, but in order to properly address the threats, we need to talk about all types of domestic terrorism, including Antifa. Instead, the Democrats have chosen to either ignore, condone or even embrace from Antifa.”

“It is our responsibility to help our farmers, ranchers and producers as they work to feed families here in Florida and across the country, especially while they struggle with the effects of COVID-19 and unfair foreign competition. These initiatives will help all of those in the agriculture industry from farm to table, including laborers, commercial growers and producers, and agriculture transportation workers.”
