SARASOTA, Fla. (WFLA) — Rep. Greg Steube returned to Sarasota Memorial Hospital on Thursday to honor the medical staff that helped saved his life.

Steube held a ceremony at the hospital Thursday to thank the trauma team for the extraordinary work that they do in the community.

The Republican serves Florida’s 17th district, which includes all of Sarasota and Charlotte counties, as well as portions of Lee County.

WASHINGTON — U.S. Representative Greg Steube (R-Fla.) today reintroduced eight bills in the 118th Congress to protect taxpayers, hold woke organizations accountable, and improve government efficiency. The bills are within jurisdiction of the Ways and Means Committee, Committee on Oversight and Reform, Judiciary Committee, and Committee on Energy and Commerce.

WASHINGTON — U.S. Representative Greg Steube (R-Fla.) was appointed to serve on the House Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government. The committee will use its sweeping investigative powers to root out corruption at the Department of Justice (DOJ), Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and other government agencies.

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy announced late Tuesday the names of 12 GOP House members who will serve on the select subcommittee to “stop the weaponization” of the federal government.
