The legislation designates Hurricane Ian as a qualified disaster for the purposes of determining tax treatment of certain disaster-related personal casualty losses.

Heritage Action Endorses Legislation Protecting Women’s Sports From Transgender Athletes

Town Hall – This week, Heritage Action for America, which is affiliated with the Heritage Foundation, announced that co-sponsorships on legislation intended to protect women’s sports will become “key votes” on its overall legislative scorecard for members of Congress.
“By allowing biological males onto women’s teams and into women’s locker rooms, the woke Left is working to completely wipe away women’s sports. The best way to counter Biden’s dangerous rewrite of Title IX is for Congress to pass the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act. Every student, parent, teacher, and citizen deserves to know where their member of Congress stands on this issue,” Steube told Townhall.

Rep. Steube Demands Answers About Smithsonian Booting Pro-Life Students

Tampa Free Press – Rep. Greg Steube is demanding answers from the Smithsonian about the treatment of a group of Catholic pro-life students, who last month were forced to leave the facility after being harassed by staff.

The students, from Greenville, South Carolina, were in Washington for the March for Life. They toured the National Air and Space Museum on Jan. 20. While present there, the group wore blue knit caps that read “Rosary Pro-Life.”

Rep. Greg Steube Holds Appreciation Ceremony for SMH Trauma Center Personnel 

SARASOTA —  U.S. Representative Greg Steube (R-Fla.) on Thursday joined the leadership of Sarasota Memorial Hospital (SMH) in an appreciation ceremony to thank the Trauma Center personnel. Rep. Steube presented two American flags, flown over the U.S. Capitol, in the honor of SMH Trauma Medical Director Dr. Ali Al-Rawi and the Sarasota Memorial Hospital Trauma Center.

Rep. Steube personally thanks medical staff who helped save his life

SARASOTA, Fla. (WFLA) — Rep. Greg Steube returned to Sarasota Memorial Hospital on Thursday to honor the medical staff that helped saved his life.

Steube held a ceremony at the hospital Thursday to thank the trauma team for the extraordinary work that they do in the community.

The Republican serves Florida’s 17th district, which includes all of Sarasota and Charlotte counties, as well as portions of Lee County.
