Steube, Titus Introduce Bipartisan PRIMATE Act to Strengthen Biosecurity and Protect Public Health
WASHINGTON — Representatives Greg Steube (R-Fla.) and Dina Titus (D-Nev.) today introduced the Preventing Risky Importation of Monkeys to Avoid Toxic Exposures Act, or PRIMATE Act, legislation to prohibit the importation of nonhuman primates into the United States to reduce the risk of introducing dangerous pathogens and strengthen U.S. biosecurity.
